레위기 12:1–8 (NKRV)
1여호와께서 모세에게 말씀하여 이르시되
2이스라엘 자손에게 말하여 이르라 여인이 임신하여 남자를 낳으면 그는 이레 동안 부정하리니 곧 월경할 때와 같이 부정할 것이며
3여덟째 날에는 그 아이의 포피를 벨 것이요
4그 여인은 아직도 삼십삼 일을 지내야 산혈이 깨끗하리니 정결하게 되는 기한이 차기 전에는 성물을 만지지도 말며 성소에 들어가지도 말 것이며
5여자를 낳으면 그는 두 이레 동안 부정하리니 월경할 때와 같을 것이며 산혈이 깨끗하게 됨은 육십육 일을 지내야 하리라
6아들이나 딸이나 정결하게 되는 기한이 차면 그 여인은 번제를 위하여 일 년 된 어린 양을 가져가고 속죄제를 위하여 집비둘기 새끼나 산비둘기를 회막 문 제사장에게로 가져갈 것이요
7제사장은 그것을 여호와 앞에 드려서 그 여인을 위하여 속죄할지니 그리하면 산혈이 깨끗하리라 이는 아들이나 딸을 생산한 여인에게 대한 규례니라
8그 여인이 어린 양을 바치기에 힘이 미치지 못하면 산비둘기 두 마리나 집비둘기 새끼 두 마리를 가져다가 하나는 번제물로, 하나는 속죄제물로 삼을 것이요 제사장은 그를 위하여 속죄할지니 그가 정결하리라
레위기 12:1–8 (ESV)
1The Lord spoke to Moses, saying,
2“Speak to the people of Israel, saying, If a woman conceives and bears a male child, then she shall be unclean seven days. As at the time of her menstruation, she shall be unclean.
3And on the eighth day the flesh of his foreskin shall be circumcised.
4Then she shall continue for thirty-three days in the blood of her purifying. She shall not touch anything holy, nor come into the sanctuary, until the days of her purifying are completed.
5But if she bears a female child, then she shall be unclean two weeks, as in her menstruation. And she shall continue in the blood of her purifying for sixty-six days.
6“And when the days of her purifying are completed, whether for a son or for a daughter, she shall bring to the priest at the entrance of the tent of meeting a lamb a year old for a burnt offering, and a pigeon or a turtledove for a sin offering,
7and he shall offer it before the Lord and make atonement for her. Then she shall be clean from the flow of her blood. This is the law for her who bears a child, either male or female.
8And if she cannot afford a lamb, then she shall take two turtledoves or two pigeons, one for a burnt offering and the other for a sin offering. And the priest shall make atonement for her, and she shall be clean.”
