열왕기상 15:1–34 (NKRV)

¹느밧의 아들 여로보암 왕 열여덟째 해에 아비얌이 유다 왕이 되고 

²예루살렘에서 삼 년 동안 다스리니라 그의 어머니의 이름은 마아가요 아비살롬의 딸이더라 

³아비얌이 그의 아버지가 이미 행한 모든 죄를 행하고 그의 마음이 그의 조상 다윗의 마음과 같지 아니하여 그의 하나님 여호와 앞에 온전하지 못하였으나 

⁴그의 하나님 여호와께서 다윗을 위하여 예루살렘에서 그에게 등불을 주시되 그의 아들을 세워 뒤를 잇게 하사 예루살렘을 견고하게 하셨으니 

⁵이는 다윗이 헷 사람 우리아의 일 외에는 평생에 여호와 보시기에 정직하게 행하고 자기에게 명령하신 모든 일을 어기지 아니하였음이라 

⁶르호보암과 여로보암 사이에 사는 날 동안 전쟁이 있었더니 

⁷아비얌과 여로보암 사이에도 전쟁이 있으니라 아비얌의 남은 사적과 그 행한 모든 일은 유다 왕 역대지략에 기록되지 아니하였느냐 

⁸아비얌이 그의 조상들과 함께 자니 다윗 성에 장사되고 그 아들 아사가 대신하여 왕이 되니라 

⁹이스라엘의 여로보암 왕 제이십년에 아사가 유다 왕이 되어 

¹⁰예루살렘에서 사십일 년 동안 다스리니라 그의 어머니의 이름은 마아가라 아비살롬의 딸이더라 

¹¹아사가 그의 조상 다윗 같이 여호와 보시기에 정직하게 행하여 

¹²남색하는 자를 그 땅에서 쫓아내고 그의 조상들이 지은 모든 우상을 없애고 

¹³또 그의 어머니 마아가가 혐오스러운 아세라 상을 만들었으므로 태후의 위를 폐하고 그 우상을 찍어 기드론 시냇가에서 불살랐으나 

¹⁴다만 산당은 없애지 아니하니라 그러나 아사의 마음이 일평생 여호와 앞에 온전하였으며 

¹⁵그가 그의 아버지가 성별한 것과 자기가 성별한 것을 여호와의 성전에 받들어 드렸으니 곧 은과 금과 그릇들이더라 

¹⁶아사와 이스라엘의 왕 바아사 사이에 일생 동안 전쟁이 있으니라 

¹⁷이스라엘의 왕 바아사가 유다를 치러 올라와서 라마를 건축하여 사람을 유다 왕 아사와 왕래하지 못하게 하려 한지라 

¹⁸아사가 여호와의 성전 곳간과 왕궁 곳간에 남은 은금을 모두 가져다가 그 신하의 손에 넘겨 다메섹에 거주하고 있는 아람의 왕 헤시온의 손자 다브림몬의 아들 벤하닷에게 보내며 이르되 

¹⁹나와 당신 사이에 약조가 있고 내 아버지와 당신의 아버지 사이에도 있었느니라 내가 당신에게 은금 예물을 보냈으니 와서 이스라엘의 왕 바아사와 세운 약조를 깨뜨려서 그가 나를 떠나게 하라 하매 

²⁰벤하닷이 아사 왕의 말을 듣고 그의 군대 지휘관들을 보내 이스라엘 성읍들을 치되 이욘과 단과 아벨벧마아가와 긴네렛 온 땅과 납달리 온 땅을 쳤더니 

²¹바아사가 듣고 라마를 건축하는 일을 중단하고 디르사에 거주하니라 

²²이에 아사 왕이 온 유다에 명령을 내려 한 사람도 모면하지 못하게 하여 바아사가 라마를 건축하던 돌과 재목을 가져오게 하고 그것으로 베냐민의 게바와 미스바를 건축하였더라 

²³아사의 남은 사적과 모든 권세와 그가 행한 모든 일과 성읍을 건축한 일이 유다 왕 역대지략에 기록되지 아니하였느냐 그러나 그는 늘그막에 발에 병이 들었더라 

²⁴아사가 그의 조상들과 함께 자매 그의 조상들과 함께 그의 조상 다윗의 성읍에 장사되고 그의 아들 여호사밧이 대신하여 왕이 되니라 

²⁵유다의 아사 왕 둘째 해에 여로보암의 아들 나답이 이스라엘 왕이 되어 이 년 동안 이스라엘을 다스리니라 

²⁶그가 여호와 보시기에 악을 행하되 그의 아버지의 길로 행하며 그가 이스라엘에게 범하게 한 그 죄 중에 행한지라 

²⁷이에 잇사갈 족속 아히야의 아들 바아사가 그를 모반하여 블레셋 사람에게 속한 깁브돈에서 그를 죽였으니 이는 나답과 온 이스라엘이 깁브돈을 에워싸고 있었음이더라 

²⁸유다의 아사 왕 셋째 해에 바아사가 나답을 죽이고 대신하여 왕이 되고 

²⁹왕이 될 때에 여로보암의 온 집을 쳐서 생명 있는 자를 한 사람도 남기지 아니하고 다 멸하였는데 여호와께서 그의 종 실로 사람 아히야를 통하여 하신 말씀과 같이 되었으니 

³⁰이는 여로보암이 범죄하고 또 이스라엘에게 범하게 한 죄로 말미암음이며 또 그가 이스라엘의 하나님 여호와를 노엽게 한 일 때문이었더라 

³¹나답의 남은 사적과 행한 모든 일은 이스라엘 왕 역대지략에 기록되지 아니하였느냐 

³²아사와 이스라엘의 바아사 왕 사이에 일생 동안 전쟁이 있으니라 

³³유다의 아사 왕 셋째 해에 아히야의 아들 바아사가 디르사에서 모든 이스라엘의 왕이 되어 이십사 년 동안 다스리니라 

³⁴바아사가 여호와 보시기에 악을 행하되 여로보암의 길로 행하며 그가 이스라엘에게 범하게 한 그 죄 중에 행하였더라

¹Now in the eighteenth year of King Jeroboam the son of Nebat, Abijam began to reign over Judah. 

²He reigned for three years in Jerusalem. His mother’s name was Maacah the daughter of Abishalom. 

³And he walked in all the sins that his father did before him, and his heart was not wholly true to the Lord his God, as the heart of David his father. 

⁴Nevertheless, for David’s sake the Lord his God gave him a lamp in Jerusalem, setting up his son after him, and establishing Jerusalem, 

⁵because David did what was right in the eyes of the Lord and did not turn aside from anything that he commanded him all the days of his life, except in the matter of Uriah the Hittite. 

⁶Now there was war between Rehoboam and Jeroboam all the days of his life. 

⁷The rest of the acts of Abijam and all that he did, are they not written in the Book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Judah? And there was war between Abijam and Jeroboam. 

⁸And Abijam slept with his fathers, and they buried him in the city of David. And Asa his son reigned in his place. 

⁹In the twentieth year of Jeroboam king of Israel, Asa began to reign over Judah, 

¹⁰and he reigned forty-one years in Jerusalem. His mother’s name was Maacah the daughter of Abishalom. 

¹¹And Asa did what was right in the eyes of the Lord, as David his father had done. 

¹²He put away the male cult prostitutes out of the land and removed all the idols that his fathers had made. 

¹³He also removed Maacah his mother from being queen mother because she had made an abominable image for Asherah. And Asa cut down her image and burned it at the brook Kidron. 

¹⁴But the high places were not taken away. Nevertheless, the heart of Asa was wholly true to the Lord all his days. 

¹⁵And he brought into the house of the Lord the sacred gifts of his father and his own sacred gifts, silver, and gold, and vessels. 

¹⁶And there was war between Asa and Baasha king of Israel all their days. 

¹⁷Baasha king of Israel went up against Judah and built Ramah, that he might permit no one to go out or come in to Asa king of Judah. 

¹⁸Then Asa took all the silver and the gold that were left in the treasures of the house of the Lord and the treasures of the king’s house and gave them into the hands of his servants. And King Asa sent them to Ben-hadad the son of Tabrimmon, the son of Hezion, king of Syria, who lived in Damascus, saying, 

¹⁹“Let there be a covenant between me and you, as there was between my father and your father. Behold, I am sending to you a present of silver and gold. Go, break your covenant with Baasha king of Israel, that he may withdraw from me.” 

²⁰And Ben-hadad listened to King Asa and sent the commanders of his armies against the cities of Israel and conquered Ijon, Dan, Abel-beth-maacah, and all Chinneroth, with all the land of Naphtali. 

²¹And when Baasha heard of it, he stopped building Ramah, and he lived in Tirzah. 

²²Then King Asa made a proclamation to all Judah, none was exempt, and they carried away the stones of Ramah and its timber, with which Baasha had been building, and with them King Asa built Geba of Benjamin and Mizpah. 

²³Now the rest of all the acts of Asa, all his might, and all that he did, and the cities that he built, are they not written in the Book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Judah? But in his old age he was diseased in his feet. 

²⁴And Asa slept with his fathers and was buried with his fathers in the city of David his father, and Jehoshaphat his son reigned in his place. 

²⁵Nadab the son of Jeroboam began to reign over Israel in the second year of Asa king of Judah, and he reigned over Israel two years. 

²⁶He did what was evil in the sight of the Lord and walked in the way of his father, and in his sin which he made Israel to sin. 

²⁷Baasha the son of Ahijah, of the house of Issachar, conspired against him. And Baasha struck him down at Gibbethon, which belonged to the Philistines, for Nadab and all Israel were laying siege to Gibbethon. 

²⁸So Baasha killed him in the third year of Asa king of Judah and reigned in his place. 

²⁹And as soon as he was king, he killed all the house of Jeroboam. He left to the house of Jeroboam not one that breathed, until he had destroyed it, according to the word of the Lord that he spoke by his servant Ahijah the Shilonite. 

³⁰It was for the sins of Jeroboam that he sinned and that he made Israel to sin, and because of the anger to which he provoked the Lord, the God of Israel. 

³¹Now the rest of the acts of Nadab and all that he did, are they not written in the Book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Israel? 

³²And there was war between Asa and Baasha king of Israel all their days. 

³³In the third year of Asa king of Judah, Baasha the son of Ahijah began to reign over all Israel at Tirzah, and he reigned twenty-four years. 

³⁴He did what was evil in the sight of the Lord and walked in the way of Jeroboam and in his sin which he made Israel to sin.
