민수기 19:1–22 (NKRV)
1여호와께서 모세와 아론에게 말씀하여 이르시되
2여호와께서 명령하시는 법의 율례를 이제 이르노니 이스라엘 자손에게 일러서 온전하여 흠이 없고 아직 멍에 메지 아니한 붉은 암송아지를 네게로 끌어오게 하고
3너는 그것을 제사장 엘르아살에게 줄 것이요 그는 그것을 진영 밖으로 끌어내어서 자기 목전에서 잡게 할 것이며
4제사장 엘르아살은 손가락에 그 피를 찍고 그 피를 회막 앞을 향하여 일곱 번 뿌리고
5그 암소를 자기 목전에서 불사르게 하되 그 가죽과 고기와 피와 똥을 불사르게 하고
6동시에 제사장은 백향목과 우슬초와 홍색 실을 가져다가 암송아지를 사르는 불 가운데에 던질 것이며
7제사장은 자기의 옷을 빨고 물로 몸을 씻은 후에 진영에 들어갈 것이라 그는 저녁까지 부정하리라
8송아지를 불사른 자도 자기의 옷을 물로 빨고 물로 그 몸을 씻을 것이라 그도 저녁까지 부정하리라
9이에 정결한 자가 암송아지의 재를 거두어 진영 밖 정한 곳에 둘지니 이것은 이스라엘 자손 회중을 위하여 간직하였다가 부정을 씻는 물을 위해 간직할지니 그것은 속죄제니라
10암송아지의 재를 거둔 자도 자기의 옷을 빨 것이며 저녁까지 부정하리라 이는 이스라엘 자손과 그중에 거류하는 외인에게 영원한 율례니라
11사람의 시체를 만진 자는 이레 동안 부정하리니
12그는 셋째 날과 일곱째 날에 잿물로 자신을 정결하게 할 것이라 그리하면 정하려니와 셋째 날과 일곱째 날에 자신을 정결하게 하지 아니하면 그냥 부정하니
13누구든지 죽은 사람의 시체를 만지고 자신을 정결하게 하지 아니하는 자는 여호와의 성막을 더럽힘이라 그가 이스라엘에서 끊어질 것은 정결하게 하는 물을 그에게 뿌리지 아니하므로 깨끗하게 되지 못하고 그 부정함이 그대로 있음이니라
14장막에서 사람이 죽을 때의 법은 이러하니 누구든지 그 장막에 들어가는 자와 그 장막에 있는 자가 이레 동안 부정할 것이며
15뚜껑을 열어 놓고 덮지 아니한 그릇은 모두 부정하니라
16누구든지 들에서 칼에 죽은 자나 시체나 사람의 뼈나 무덤을 만졌으면 이레 동안 부정하리니
17그 부정한 자를 위하여 죄를 깨끗하게 하려고 불사른 재를 가져다가 흐르는 물과 함께 그릇에 담고
18정결한 자가 우슬초를 가져다가 그 물을 찍어 장막과 그 모든 기구와 거기 있는 사람들에게 뿌리고 또 뼈나 죽임을 당한 자나 시체나 무덤을 만진 자에게 뿌리되
19그 정결한 자가 셋째 날과 일곱째 날에 그 부정한 자에게 뿌려서 일곱째 날에 그를 정결하게 할 것이며 그는 자기 옷을 빨고 물로 몸을 씻을 것이라 저녁이면 정결하리라
20사람이 부정하고도 자신을 정결하게 하지 아니하면 여호와의 성소를 더럽힘이니 그러므로 회중 가운데에서 끊어질 것이니라 그는 정결하게 하는 물로 뿌림을 받지 아니하였은즉 부정하니라
21이는 그들의 영구한 율례니라 정결하게 하는 물을 뿌린 자는 자기의 옷을 빨 것이며 정결하게 하는 물을 만지는 자는 저녁까지 부정할 것이며
22부정한 자가 만진 것은 무엇이든지 부정할 것이며 그것을 만지는 자도 저녁까지 부정하리라
민수기 19:1–22 (ESV)
1Now the Lord spoke to Moses and to Aaron, saying,
2“This is the statute of the law that the Lord has commanded: Tell the people of Israel to bring you a red heifer without defect, in which there is no blemish, and on which a yoke has never come.
3And you shall give it to Eleazar the priest, and it shall be taken outside the camp and slaughtered before him.
4And Eleazar the priest shall take some of its blood with his finger, and sprinkle some of its blood toward the front of the tent of meeting seven times.
5And the heifer shall be burned in his sight. Its skin, its flesh, and its blood, with its dung, shall be burned.
6And the priest shall take cedarwood and hyssop and scarlet yarn, and throw them into the fire burning the heifer.
7Then the priest shall wash his clothes and bathe his body in water, and afterward he may come into the camp. But the priest shall be unclean until evening.
8The one who burns the heifer shall wash his clothes in water and bathe his body in water and shall be unclean until evening.
9And a man who is clean shall gather up the ashes of the heifer and deposit them outside the camp in a clean place. And they shall be kept for the water for impurity for the congregation of the people of Israel; it is a sin offering.
10And the one who gathers the ashes of the heifer shall wash his clothes and be unclean until evening. And this shall be a perpetual statute for the people of Israel, and for the stranger who sojourns among them.
11“Whoever touches the dead body of any person shall be unclean seven days.
12He shall cleanse himself with the water on the third day and on the seventh day, and so be clean. But if he does not cleanse himself on the third day and on the seventh day, he will not become clean.
13Whoever touches a dead person, the body of anyone who has died, and does not cleanse himself, defiles the tabernacle of the Lord, and that person shall be cut off from Israel; because the water for impurity was not thrown on him, he shall be unclean. His uncleanness is still on him.
14“This is the law when someone dies in a tent: everyone who comes into the tent and everyone who is in the tent shall be unclean seven days.
15And every open vessel that has no cover fastened on it is unclean.
16Whoever in the open field touches someone who was killed with a sword or who died naturally, or touches a human bone or a grave, shall be unclean seven days.
17For the unclean they shall take some ashes of the burnt sin offering, and fresh water shall be added in a vessel.
18Then a clean person shall take hyssop and dip it in the water and sprinkle it on the tent and on all the furnishings and on the persons who were there and on whoever touched the bone, or the slain or the dead or the grave.
19And the clean person shall sprinkle it on the unclean on the third day and on the seventh day. Thus on the seventh day he shall cleanse him, and he shall wash his clothes and bathe himself in water, and at evening he shall be clean.
20“If the man who is unclean does not cleanse himself, that person shall be cut off from the midst of the assembly, since he has defiled the sanctuary of the Lord. Because the water for impurity has not been thrown on him, he is unclean.
21And it shall be a statute forever for them. The one who sprinkles the water for impurity shall wash his clothes, and the one who touches the water for impurity shall be unclean until evening.
22And whatever the unclean person touches shall be unclean, and anyone who touches it shall be unclean until evening.”
