여호수아 21:1–45 (NKRV)
1그 때에 레위 사람의 족장들이 제사장 엘르아살과 눈의 아들 여호수아와 이스라엘 자손의 지파 족장들에게 나아와
2가나안 땅 실로에서 그들에게 말하여 이르되 여호와께서 모세에게 명령하사 우리가 거주할 성읍들과 우리 가축을 위해 그 목초지들을 우리에게 주라 하셨나이다 하매
3이스라엘 자손이 여호와의 명령을 따라 자기의 기업에서 이 성읍들과 그 목초지들을 레위 사람에게 주니라
4그핫 가족을 위하여 제비를 뽑았는데 레위 사람 중 제사장 아론의 자손들은 유다 지파와 시므온 지파와 베냐민 지파 중에서 제비 뽑은 대로 열세 성읍을 받았고
5그핫 자손들 중에 남은 자는 에브라임 지파의 가족과 단 지파와 므낫세 반 지파 중에서 제비 뽑은 대로 열 성읍을 받았으며
6게르손 자손들은 잇사갈 지파의 가족들과 아셀 지파와 납달리 지파와 바산에 있는 므낫세 반 지파 중에서 제비 뽑은 대로 열세 성읍을 받았더라
7므라리 자손들은 그 가족대로 르우벤 지파와 갓 지파와 스불론 지파 중에서 열두 성읍을 받았더라
8여호와께서 모세에게 명령하신 대로 이스라엘 자손이 제비 뽑아 레위 사람에게 준 성읍들과 그 목초지들이 이러하니라
9유다 자손의 지파와 시므온 자손의 지파 중에서는 이 아래에 기명한 성읍들을 주었는데
10레위 자손 중 그핫 가족들에 속한 아론 자손이 첫째로 제비 뽑혔으므로
11아낙의 아버지 아르바의 성읍 유다 산지 기럇 아르바 곧 헤브론과 그 주위의 목초지를 그들에게 주었고
12그 성읍의 밭과 그 촌락들은 여분네의 아들 갈렙에게 주어 소유가 되게 하였더라
13제사장 아론의 자손에게 준 것은 살인자의 도피성 헤브론과 그 목초지이요 또 립나와 그 목초지와
14얏딜과 그 목초지와 에스드모아와 그 목초지와
15홀론과 그 목초지와 드빌과 그 목초지와
16아인과 그 목초지와 윳다와 그 목초지와 벧 세메스와 그 목초지이니 이 두 지파에서 아홉 성읍을 냈고
17또 베냐민 지파 중에서는 기브온과 그 목초지와 게바와 그 목초지와
18아나돗과 그 목초지와 알몬과 그 목초지 곧 네 성읍을 냈으니
19제사장 아론 자손의 성읍은 모두 열세 성읍과 그 목초지들이었더라
20레위 사람인 그핫 자손 중에 남은 자들의 가족들 곧 그핫 자손에게는 제비 뽑아 에브라임 지파 중에서 그 성읍들을 주었으니
21곧 살인자의 도피성 에브라임 산지 세겜과 그 목초지이요 또 게셀과 그 목초지와
22깁사임과 그 목초지와 벧호론과 그 목초지이니 네 성읍이요
23또 단 지파 중에서 준 것은 엘드게와 그 목초지와 깁브돈과 그 목초지와
24아얄론과 그 목초지와 가드 림몬과 그 목초지이니 네 성읍이요
25또 므낫세 반 지파 중에서 준 것은 다아낙과 그 목초지와 가드 림몬과 그 목초지이니 두 성읍이라
26그핫 자손의 남은 가족들을 위한 성읍들은 모두 열 성읍과 그 목초지들이었더라
27레위 가족의 게르손 자손에게는 므낫세 반 지파 중에서 살인자의 도피성 바산 골란과 그 목초지를 주었고 또 브에스드라와 그 목초지를 주었으니 두 성읍이요
28잇사갈 지파 중에서는 기시온과 그 목초지와 다브랏과 그 목초지와
29야르뭇과 그 목초지와 엔 간님과 그 목초지를 주었으니 네 성읍이요
30아셀 지파 중에서는 미살과 그 목초지와 압돈과 그 목초지와
31헬갓과 그 목초지와 르홉과 그 목초지를 주었으니 네 성읍이요
32납달리 지파 중에서는 살인자의 도피성 갈릴리 게데스와 그 목초지를 주었고 또 함못 돌과 그 목초지와 가르단과 그 목초지를 주었으니 세 성읍이라
33게르손 사람이 그 가족대로 받은 성읍은 모두 열세 성읍과 그 목초지들이었더라
34그 남은 레위 사람 므라리 자손의 가족들에게 준 것은 스불론 지파 중에서 욕느암과 그 목초지와 가르다와 그 목초지와
35딤나와 그 목초지와 나할랄과 그 목초지이니 네 성읍이요
36르우벤 지파 중에서 준 것은 베셀과 그 목초지와 야하스와 그 목초지와
37그데못과 그 목초지와 므바앗과 그 목초지이니 네 성읍이요
38갓 지파 중에서 준 것은 살인자의 도피성 길르앗 라못과 그 목초지이요 또 마하나임과 그 목초지와
39헤스본과 그 목초지와 야셀과 그 목초지이니 모두 네 성읍이라
40이는 레위 가족의 남은 자 곧 므라리 자손이 그들의 가족대로 받은 성읍이니 그들이 제비 뽑아 얻은 성읍이 열두 성읍이었더라
41레위 사람들이 이스라엘 자손의 기업 중에서 받은 성읍은 모두 마흔여덟 성읍이요 또 그 목초지들이라
42이 각 성읍의 주위에 목초지가 있었고 모든 성읍이 다 그러하였더라
43여호와께서 이스라엘의 조상들에게 맹세하사 주리라 하신 온 땅을 이와 같이 이스라엘에게 다 주셨으므로 그들이 그것을 차지하여 거기에 거주하였으니
44여호와께서 그들의 주위에 안식을 주셨으되 그 조상들에게 맹세하신 대로 하셨으므로 그들의 모든 원수들 중에 그들과 맞선 자가 하나도 없었으니 이는 여호와께서 그들의 모든 원수들을 그들의 손에 넘겨 주셨음이니라
45여호와께서 이스라엘 족속에게 말씀하신 선한 말씀이 하나도 남음이 없이 다 응하였더라

1Then the heads of the fathers’ houses of the Levites came to Eleazar the priest and to Joshua the son of Nun and to the heads of the fathers’ houses of the tribes of the people of Israel.
2And they said to them at Shiloh in the land of Canaan, “The Lord commanded through Moses that we be given cities to dwell in, along with their pasturelands for our livestock.”
3So by command of the Lord the people of Israel gave to the Levites the following cities and pasturelands out of their inheritance.
4The lot came out for the clans of the Kohathites. So those Levites who were descendants of Aaron the priest received by lot from the tribes of Judah, Simeon, and Benjamin, thirteen cities.
5And the rest of the Kohathites received by lot from the clans of the tribe of Ephraim, from the tribe of Dan and the half-tribe of Manasseh, ten cities.
6The Gershonites received by lot from the clans of the tribe of Issachar, from the tribe of Asher, from the tribe of Naphtali, and from the half-tribe of Manasseh in Bashan, thirteen cities.
7The Merarites according to their clans received from the tribe of Reuben, the tribe of Gad, and the tribe of Zebulun, twelve cities.
8These cities and their pasturelands the people of Israel gave by lot to the Levites, as the Lord had commanded through Moses.
9Out of the tribe of the people of Judah and the tribe of the people of Simeon they gave the following cities mentioned by name,
10which went to the descendants of Aaron, one of the clans of the Kohathites who belonged to the people of Levi; since the lot fell to them first.
11They gave them Kiriath-arba (Arba being the father of Anak), that is Hebron, in the hill country of Judah, along with the pasturelands around it.
12But the fields of the city and its villages had been given to Caleb the son of Jephunneh as his possession.
13And to the descendants of Aaron the priest they gave Hebron, the city of refuge for the manslayer, with its pasturelands, Libnah with its pasturelands,
14Jattir with its pasturelands, Eshtemoa with its pasturelands,
15Holon with its pasturelands, Debir with its pasturelands,
16Ain with its pasturelands, Juttah with its pasturelands, Beth-shemesh with its pasturelands—nine cities out of these two tribes;
17then out of the tribe of Benjamin, Gibeon with its pasturelands, Geba with its pasturelands,
18Anathoth with its pasturelands, and Almon with its pasturelands—four cities.
19The cities of the descendants of Aaron, the priests, were in all thirteen cities with their pasturelands.
20As to the rest of the Kohathites belonging to the Kohathite clans of the Levites, the cities allotted to them were out of the tribe of Ephraim.
21To them were given Shechem, the city of refuge for the manslayer, with its pasturelands in the hill country of Ephraim, Gezer with its pasturelands,
22Kibzaim with its pasturelands, Beth-horon with its pasturelands—four cities;
23and out of the tribe of Dan, Elteke with its pasturelands, Gibbethon with its pasturelands,
24Aijalon with its pasturelands, Gath-rimmon with its pasturelands—four cities;
25and out of the half-tribe of Manasseh, Taanach with its pasturelands, and Gath-rimmon with its pasturelands—two cities.
26The cities of the clans of the rest of the Kohathites were ten in all with their pasturelands.
27And to the Gershonites, one of the clans of the Levites, were given out of the half-tribe of Manasseh, Golan in Bashan with its pasturelands, the city of refuge for the manslayer, and Beeshterah with its pasturelands—two cities;
28and out of the tribe of Issachar, Kishion with its pasturelands, Daberath with its pasturelands,
29Jarmuth with its pasturelands, En-gannim with its pasturelands—four cities;
30and out of the tribe of Asher, Mishal with its pasturelands, Abdon with its pasturelands,
31Helkath with its pasturelands, and Rehob with its pasturelands—four cities;
32and out of the tribe of Naphtali, Kedesh in Galilee with its pasturelands, the city of refuge for the manslayer, Hammoth-dor with its pasturelands, and Kartan with its pasturelands—three cities.
33The cities of the several clans of the Gershonites were in all thirteen cities with their pasturelands.
34And to the rest of the Levites, the Merarite clans, were given out of the tribe of Zebulun, Jokneam with its pasturelands, Kartah with its pasturelands,
35Dimnah with its pasturelands, Nahalal with its pasturelands—four cities;
36and out of the tribe of Reuben, Bezer with its pasturelands, Jahaz with its pasturelands,
37Kedemoth with its pasturelands, and Mephaath with its pasturelands—four cities;
38and out of the tribe of Gad, Ramoth in Gilead with its pasturelands, the city of refuge for the manslayer, Mahanaim with its pasturelands,
39Heshbon with its pasturelands, Jazer with its pasturelands—four cities in all.
40As for the cities of the several Merarite clans, that is, the remainder of the clans of the Levites, those allotted to them were in all twelve cities.
41The cities of the Levites in the midst of the possession of the people of Israel were in all forty-eight cities with their pasturelands.
42These cities each had its pasturelands around it. So it was with all these cities.
43Thus the Lord gave to Israel all the land that he swore to give to their fathers. And they took possession of it, and they settled there.
44And the Lord gave them rest on every side just as he had sworn to their fathers. Not one of all their enemies had withstood them, for the Lord had given all their enemies into their hands.
45Not one word of all the good promises that the Lord had made to the house of Israel had failed; all came to pass.
