1이스라엘의 아들은 이러하니 르우벤과 시므온과 레위와 유다와 잇사갈과 스불론과
2단과 요셉과 베냐민과 납달리와 갓과 아셀이더라
3유다의 아들은 에르와 오난과 셀라니 이 세 사람은 가나안 사람 수아의 딸이 유다에게 낳아 준 자요 유다의 맏아들 에르는 여호와 보시기에 악하였으므로 여호와께서 죽이셨고
4유다의 며느리 다말이 유다에게 베레스와 세라를 낳아 주었으니 유다의 아들이 모두 다섯이더라
5베레스의 아들은 헤스론과 하물이요
6세라의 아들은 시므리와 에단과 헤만과 갈골과 다라니 모두 다섯 사람이요
7갈미의 아들은 아갈이니 그는 진멸시킬 물건을 범하여 이스라엘을 괴롭힌 자이며
8에단의 아들은 아사랴더라
9헤스론이 낳은 아들은 여라므엘과 람과 글루배라
10람은 암미나답을 낳고 암미나답은 나손을 낳았으니 나손은 유다 자손의 방백이며
11나손은 살마를 낳고 살마는 보아스를 낳고
12보아스는 오벳을 낳고 오벳은 이새를 낳고
13이새는 맏아들 엘리압과 둘째로 아비나답과 셋째로 시므아와
14넷째로 느다넬과 다섯째로 랏대와
15여섯째로 오셈과 일곱째로 다윗을 낳았으며
16그들의 자매는 스루야와 아비가일이라 스루야의 아들은 아비새와 요압과 아사헬 삼형제요
17아비가일은 아마사를 낳았으니 아마사의 아버지는 이스마엘 사람 예델이었더라
18헤스론의 아들 갈렙이 그의 아내 아수바와 여리옷에게서 아들을 낳았으니 그가 낳은 아들들은 예셀과 소밥과 아르돈이며
19아수바가 죽은 후에 갈렙이 또 에브랏에게 장가 들었더니 에브랏이 그에게 훌을 낳아 주었고
20훌은 우리를 낳고 우리는 브살렐을 낳았더라
21그 후에 헤스론이 육십 세에 길르앗의 아버지 마길의 딸에게 장가 들어 동침하였더니 그가 스굽을 헤스론에게 낳아 주었으며
22스굽은 야일을 낳았고 야일은 길르앗 땅에서 스물세 성읍을 가졌더니
23그술과 아람이 야일의 성읍들과 그낫과 그에 딸린 성읍들 모두 육십을 그들에게서 빼앗았으며 이들은 다 길르앗의 아버지 마길의 자손이었더라
24헤스론이 갈렙 에브라다에서 죽은 후에 그의 아내 아비야가 그로 말미암아 아스훌을 낳았으니 아스훌은 드고아의 아버지더라
25헤스론의 맏아들 여라므엘의 아들은 맏아들 람과 그 다음 브나와 오렌과 오셈과 아히야이며
26여라므엘이 다른 아내가 있었으니 이름은 아다라라 그는 오남의 어머니더라
27여라므엘의 맏아들 람의 아들은 마아스와 야민과 에겔이요
28오남의 아들들은 삼매와 야다요 삼매의 아들은 나답과 아비술이며
29아비술의 아내의 이름은 아비하일이라 아비하일이 아반과 몰릿을 그에게 낳아 주었으며
30나답의 아들들은 셀렛과 압바임이라 셀렛은 아들이 없이 죽었고
31압바임의 아들은 이시요 이시의 아들은 세산이요 세산의 아들은 알래요
32삼매의 아우 야다의 아들들은 예델과 요나단이라 예델은 아들이 없이 죽었고
33요나단의 아들들은 벨렛과 사사라 여라므엘의 자손은 이러하며
34세산은 아들이 없고 딸뿐이라 그에게 야르하라 하는 애굽 종이 있으므로
35세산이 딸을 그 종 야르하에게 주어 아내를 삼게 하였더니 그가 그로 말미암아 앗대를 낳고
36앗대는 나단을 낳고 나단은 사밧을 낳고
37사밧은 에블랄을 낳고 에블랄은 오벳을 낳고
38오벳은 예후를 낳고 예후는 아사랴를 낳고
39아사랴는 헬레스를 낳고 헬레스는 엘르아사를 낳고
40엘르아사는 시스매를 낳고 시스매는 살룸을 낳고
41살룸은 여가먀를 낳고 여가먀는 엘리사마를 낳았더라
42여라므엘의 아우 갈렙의 아들 곧 맏아들은 메사이니 십의 아버지요 그 아들은 마레사니 헤브론의 아버지이며
43헤브론의 아들들은 고라와 답부아와 레겜과 세마라
44세마는 라함을 낳았으니 라함은 요르그암의 아버지이며 레겜은 삼매를 낳았고
45삼매의 아들은 마온이라 마온은 벧술의 아버지이며
46갈렙의 소실 에바는 하란과 모사와 가세스를 낳고 하란은 가세스를 낳았으며
47야대의 아들은 레겜과 요단과 게산과 벨렛과 에바와 사압이며
48갈렙의 소실 마아가는 세벨과 디르하나를 낳았고
49또 맛만나의 아버지 사압을 낳았고 또 막베나와 기브아의 아버지 스와를 낳았으며 갈렙의 딸은 악사더라
50갈렙의 자손 곧 에브라다의 맏아들 훌의 아들은 이러하니 기럇여아림의 아버지 소발과
51베들레헴의 아버지 살마와 벧가델의 아버지 하렙이라
52기럇여아림의 아버지 소발의 자손은 하로에와 므누홋 사람의 절반이니
53기럇여아림 족속들은 이델 종족과 붓 종족과 수맛 종족과 미스라 종족이라 이로 말미암아 소라와 에스다올 두 종족이 나왔으며
54살마의 자손들은 베들레헴과 느도바 종족과 아다롯벳요압과 마나핫 종족의 절반과 소라 종족과
55야베스에 살던 서기관 종족 곧 디랏 종족과 시므앗 종족과 수갓 종족이니 이는 다 레갑 가문의 조상 함맛에게서 나온 겐 종족이더라

1These are the sons of Israel: Reuben, Simeon, Levi, Judah, Issachar, Zebulun,
2Dan, Joseph, Benjamin, Naphtali, Gad, and Asher.
3The sons of Judah: Er, Onan and Shelah; these three Bath-shua the Canaanite bore to him. Now Er, Judah’s firstborn, was evil in the sight of the Lord, and he put him to death.
4His daughter-in-law Tamar also bore him Perez and Zerah. Judah had five sons in all.
5The sons of Perez: Hezron and Hamul.
6The sons of Zerah: Zimri, Ethan, Heman, Calcol, and Dara, five in all.
7The son of Carmi: Achan, the troubler of Israel, who broke faith in the matter of the devoted thing;
8and Ethan’s son was Azariah.
9The sons of Hezron that were born to him: Jerahmeel, Ram, and Chelubai.
10Ram fathered Amminadab, and Amminadab fathered Nahshon, prince of the sons of Judah.
11Nahshon fathered Salmon, Salmon fathered Boaz,
12Boaz fathered Obed, Obed fathered Jesse.
13Jesse fathered Eliab his firstborn, Abinadab the second, Shimea the third,
14Nethanel the fourth, Raddai the fifth,
15Ozem the sixth, David the seventh.
16And their sisters were Zeruiah and Abigail. The sons of Zeruiah: Abishai, Joab, and Asahel, three.
17Abigail bore Amasa, and the father of Amasa was Jether the Ishmaelite.
18Caleb the son of Hezron fathered children by his wife Azubah, and by Jerioth; and these were her sons: Jesher, Shobab, and Ardon.
19When Azubah died, Caleb married Ephrath, who bore him Hur.
20Hur fathered Uri, and Uri fathered Bezalel.
21Afterward Hezron went in to the daughter of Machir the father of Gilead, whom he married when he was sixty years old, and she bore him Segub.
22And Segub fathered Jair, who had twenty-three cities in the land of Gilead.
23But Geshur and Aram took from them Havvoth-jair, Kenath, and its villages, sixty towns. All these were descendants of Machir, the father of Gilead.
24After the death of Hezron, Caleb went in to Ephrathah, the wife of Hezron his father, and she bore him Ashhur, the father of Tekoa.
25The sons of Jerahmeel, the firstborn of Hezron: Ram, his firstborn, Bunah, Oren, Ozem, and Ahijah.
26Jerahmeel also had another wife, whose name was Atarah; she was the mother of Onam.
27The sons of Ram, the firstborn of Jerahmeel: Maaz, Jamin, and Eker.
28The sons of Onam: Shammai and Jada. The sons of Shammai: Nadab and Abishur.
29The name of Abishur’s wife was Abihail, and she bore him Ahban and Molid.
30The sons of Nadab: Seled and Appaim; and Seled died childless.
31The son of Appaim: Ishi. The son of Ishi: Sheshan. The son of Sheshan: Ahlai.
32The sons of Jada, Shammai’s brother: Jether and Jonathan; and Jether died childless.
33The sons of Jonathan: Peleth and Zaza. These were the descendants of Jerahmeel.
34Now Sheshan had no sons, only daughters, but Sheshan had an Egyptian slave whose name was Jarha.
35So Sheshan gave his daughter in marriage to Jarha his slave, and she bore him Attai.
36Attai fathered Nathan, and Nathan fathered Zabad.
37Zabad fathered Ephlal, and Ephlal fathered Obed.
38Obed fathered Jehu, and Jehu fathered Azariah.
39Azariah fathered Helez, and Helez fathered Eleasah.
40Eleasah fathered Sismai, and Sismai fathered Shallum.
41Shallum fathered Jekamiah, and Jekamiah fathered Elishama.
42The sons of Caleb the brother of Jerahmeel: Mareshah his firstborn, who fathered Ziph. The son of Mareshah: Hebron.
43The sons of Hebron: Korah, Tappuah, Rekem and Shema.
44Shema fathered Raham, the father of Jorkeam; and Rekem fathered Shammai.
45The son of Shammai: Maon; and Maon fathered Beth-zur.
46Ephah also, Caleb’s concubine, bore Haran, Moza, and Gazez; and Haran fathered Gazez.
47The sons of Jahdai: Regem, Jotham, Geshan, Pelet, Ephah, and Shaaph.
48Maacah, Caleb’s concubine, bore Sheber and Tirhanah.
49She also bore Shaaph the father of Madmannah, Sheva the father of Machbenah and the father of Gibea; and the daughter of Caleb was Achsah.
50These were the descendants of Caleb. The sons of Hur the firstborn of Ephrathah: Shobal the father of Kiriath-jearim,
51Salma, the father of Bethlehem, and Hareph the father of Beth-gader.
52Shobal the father of Kiriath-jearim had other sons: Haroeh, half of the Menuhoth.
53And the clans of Kiriath-jearim: the Ithrites, the Puthites, the Shumathites, and the Mishraites; from these came the Zorathites and the Eshtaolites.
54The sons of Salma: Bethlehem, the Netophathites, Atroth-beth-joab and half of the Manahathites, the Zorites.
55The clans also of the scribes who lived at Jabez: the Tirathites, the Shimeathites and the Sucathites. These are the Kenites who came from Hammath, the father of the house of Rechab.
