욥기 24:1–25 (NKRV)
1어찌하여 전능자는 때를 정해 놓지 아니하셨는고 그를 아는 자들이 그의 날을 보지 못하는고
2어떤 사람은 땅의 경계표를 옮기며 양 떼를 빼앗아 기르며
3고아의 나귀를 몰아 가며 과부의 소를 볼모 잡으며
4가난한 자를 길에서 몰아내나니 세상에서 학대 받는 자가 다 스스로 숨는구나
5그들은 거친 광야의 들나귀 같아서 나가서 일하며 먹을 것을 부지런히 구하니 빈 들이 그들의 자식을 위하여 그에게 음식을 내는구나
6밭에서 남의 꼴을 베며 악인이 남겨 둔 포도를 따며
7의복이 없어 벗은 몸으로 밤을 지내며 추워도 덮을 것이 없으며
8산중에서 만난 소나기에 젖으며 가릴 것이 없어 바위를 안고 있느니라
9어떤 사람은 고아를 어머니의 품에서 빼앗으며 가난한 자의 옷을 볼모 잡으므로
10그들이 옷이 없어 벌거벗고 다니며 곡식 이삭을 나르나 굶주리고
11그 사람들의 담 사이에서 기름을 짜며 목말라 하면서 술 틀을 밟느니라
12성 중에서 죽어가는 사람들이 신음하며 상한 자가 부르짖으나 하나님이 그들의 참상을 보지 아니하시느니라
13또 광명을 배반하는 사람들은 이러하니 그들은 그 도리를 알지 못하며 그 길에 머물지 아니하는 자라
14사람을 죽이는 자는 밝을 때에 일어나서 학대 받는 자나 가난한 자를 죽이고 밤에는 도둑 같이 되며
15간음하는 자의 눈은 저물기를 바라며 아무 눈도 나를 보지 못하리라 하고 얼굴을 가리며
16어둠을 틈타 집을 뚫는 자는 낮에는 잠그고 있으므로 광명을 알지 못하나니
17그들은 아침을 죽음의 그늘 같이 여기니 죽음의 그늘의 두려움을 앎이니라
18그들은 물 위에 빨리 흘러가고 그들의 소유는 세상에서 저주를 받나니 그들이 다시는 포도원 길로 다니지 못할 것이라
19가뭄과 더위가 눈 녹은 물을 곧 빼앗나니 스올이 범죄자에게도 그와 같이 하느니라
20모태가 그를 잊어버리고 구더기가 그를 달게 먹을 것이라 그는 다시 기억되지 않을 것이니 불의가 나무처럼 꺾이리라
21그는 임신하지 못하는 여자를 박대하며 과부를 선대하지 아니하는도다
22그러나 하나님이 그의 능력으로 강포한 자들을 끌어내시나니 일어나는 자는 있어도 살아남을 확신은 없으리라
23하나님은 그에게 평안을 주시며 지탱해 주시나 그들의 길을 살피시도다
24그들은 잠깐 동안 높아졌다가 천대를 받을 것이며 잘려 모아진 곡식 이삭처럼 되리라
25가령 그렇지 않을지라도 능히 내 말을 거짓되다고 지적하거나 내 말을 헛되게 만들 자 누구랴
욥기 24:1-25 (ESV)
1“Why are not times of judgment kept by the Almighty, and why do those who know him never see his days?
2Some move landmarks; they seize flocks and pasture them.
3They drive away the donkey of the fatherless; they take the widow’s ox for a pledge.
4They thrust the poor off the road; the poor of the earth all hide themselves.
5Behold, like wild donkeys in the desert the poor go out to their toil, seeking game; the wasteland yields food for their children.
6They gather their fodder in the field, and they glean the vineyard of the wicked man.
7They lie all night naked, without clothing, and have no covering in the cold.
8They are wet with the rain of the mountains and cling to the rock for lack of shelter.
9(There are those who snatch the fatherless child from the breast, and they take a pledge against the poor.)
10They go about naked, without clothing; hungry, they carry the sheaves;
11among the olive rows of the wicked they make oil; they tread the winepresses, but suffer thirst.
12From out of the city the dying groan, and the soul of the wounded cries for help; yet God charges no one with wrong.
13“There are those who rebel against the light, who are not acquainted with its ways, and do not stay in its paths.
14The murderer rises before it is light, that he may kill the poor and needy, and in the night he is like a thief.
15The eye of the adulterer also waits for the twilight, saying, ‘No eye will see me’; and he veils his face.
16In the dark they dig through houses; by day they shut themselves up; they do not know the light.
17For deep darkness is morning to all of them; for they are friends with the terrors of deep darkness.
18“You say, ‘Swift are they on the face of the waters; their portion is cursed in the land; no treader turns toward their vineyards.
19Drought and heat snatch away the snow waters; so does Sheol those who have sinned.
20The womb forgets them; the worm finds them sweet; they are no longer remembered, so wickedness is broken like a tree.’
21“They wrong the barren, childless woman, and do no good to the widow.
22Yet God prolongs the life of the mighty by his power; they rise up when they despair of life.
23He gives them security, and they are supported, and his eyes are upon their ways.
24They are exalted a little while, and then are gone; they are brought low and gathered up like all others; they are cut off like the heads of grain.
25If it is not so, who will prove me a liar and show that there is nothing in what I say?”
