창세기 46:1–34 (NKRV)
1이스라엘이 모든 소유를 이끌고 떠나 브엘세바에 이르러 그의 아버지 이삭의 하나님께 희생제사를 드리니
2그 밤에 하나님이 이상 중에 이스라엘에게 나타나 이르시되 야곱아 야곱아 하시는지라 야곱이 이르되 내가 여기 있나이다 하매
3하나님이 이르시되 나는 하나님이라 네 아버지의 하나님이니 애굽으로 내려가기를 두려워하지 말라 내가 거기서 너로 큰 민족을 이루게 하리라
4내가 너와 함께 애굽으로 내려가겠고 반드시 너를 인도하여 다시 올라올 것이며 요셉이 그의 손으로 네 눈을 감기리라 하셨더라
5야곱이 브엘세바에서 떠날새 이스라엘의 아들들이 바로가 그를 태우려고 보낸 수레에 자기들의 아버지 야곱과 자기들의 처자들을 태우고
6그들의 가축과 가나안 땅에서 얻은 재물을 이끌었으며 야곱과 그의 자손들이 다함께 애굽으로 갔더라
7이와 같이 야곱이 그 아들들과 손자들과 딸들과 손녀들 곧 그의 모든 자손을 데리고 애굽으로 갔더라
8애굽으로 내려간 이스라엘 가족의 이름은 이러하니라 야곱과 그의 아들들 곧 야곱의 맏아들 르우벤과
9르우벤의 아들 하녹과 발루와 헤스론과 갈미요
10시므온의 아들은 여무엘과 야민과 오핫과 야긴과 스할과 가나안 여인의 아들 사울이요
11레위의 아들은 게르손과 그핫과 므라리요
12유다의 아들 곧 엘과 오난과 셀라와 베레스와 세라니 엘과 오난은 가나안 땅에서 죽었고 베레스의 아들은 헤스론과 하물이요
13잇사갈의 아들은 돌라와 부와와 욥과 시므론이요
14스불론의 아들은 세렛과 엘론과 얄르엘이니
15이들은 레아가 밧단아람에서 야곱에게 난 자손들이라 그 딸 디나를 합하여 남자와 여자가 삼십삼 명이며
16갓의 아들은 시뵨과 학기와 수니와 에스본과 에리와 아로디와 아렐리요
17아셀의 아들은 임나와 이스와와 이스위와 브리아와 그들의 누이 세라며 또 브리아의 아들은 헤벨과 말기엘이니
18이들은 라반이 그의 딸 레아에게 준 실바가 야곱에게 낳은 자손들이니 모두 십육 명이라
19야곱의 아내 라헬의 아들 곧 요셉과 베냐민이요
20애굽 땅에서 온의 제사장 보디베라의 딸 아스낫이 요셉에게 낳은 므낫세와 에브라임이요
21베냐민의 아들 곧 벨라와 베겔과 아스벨과 게라와 나아만과 에히와 로스와 뭅빔과 훕빔과 아릇이니
22이들은 라헬이 야곱에게 낳은 자손들이니 모두 십사 명이요
23단의 아들 후심이요
24납달리의 아들 곧 야스엘과 구니와 예셀과 실렘이라
25이들은 라반이 그의 딸 라헬에게 준 빌하가 야곱에게 낳은 자손들이니 모두 칠 명이라
26야곱과 함께 애굽에 들어간 자는 야곱의 며느리들 외에 육십육 명이니 이는 다 야곱의 몸에서 태어난 자이며
27애굽에서 요셉이 낳은 아들은 두 명이니 야곱의 집 사람으로 애굽에 이른 자가 모두 칠십 명이었더라
28야곱이 유다를 요셉에게 미리 보내어 자기를 고센으로 인도하게 하고 다 고센 땅에 이르니
29요셉이 그의 수레를 갖추고 고센으로 올라가서 그의 아버지 이스라엘을 맞으며 그에게 보이고 그의 목을 어긋맞춰 안고 얼마 동안 울매
30이스라엘이 요셉에게 이르되 네가 지금까지 살아 있고 내가 네 얼굴을 보았으니 지금 죽어도 족하도다
31요셉이 그의 형들과 아버지의 가족에게 이르되 내가 올라가서 바로에게 아뢰어 이르기를 가나안 땅에 있던 내 형들과 내 아버지의 가족이 내게로 왔는데
32그들은 목자들이라 목축하는 사람들이므로 그들의 양과 소와 모든 소유를 이끌고 왔나이다 하리니
33바로가 당신들을 불러서 너희의 직업이 무엇이냐 묻거든
34당신들은 이르기를 주의 종들은 어렸을 때부터 지금까지 목축하는 자들이온데 우리와 우리 선조가 다 그러하니이다 하소서 애굽 사람은 다 목축을 가증히 여기나니 당신들이 고센 땅에 살게 되리이다
창세기 46:1–34 (ESV)
1So Israel took his journey with all that he had and came to Beersheba, and offered sacrifices to the God of his father Isaac.
2And God spoke to Israel in visions of the night and said, “Jacob, Jacob.” And he said, “Here I am.”
3Then he said, “I am God, the God of your father. Do not be afraid to go down to Egypt, for there I will make you into a great nation.
4I myself will go down with you to Egypt, and I will also bring you up again, and Joseph’s hand shall close your eyes.”
5Then Jacob set out from Beersheba. The sons of Israel carried Jacob their father, their little ones, and their wives, in the wagons that Pharaoh had sent to carry him.
6They also took their livestock and their goods, which they had gained in the land of Canaan, and came into Egypt, Jacob and all his offspring with him,
7his sons, and his sons’ sons with him, his daughters, and his sons’ daughters. All his offspring he brought with him into Egypt.
8Now these are the names of the descendants of Israel, who came into Egypt, Jacob and his sons. Reuben, Jacob’s firstborn,
9and the sons of Reuben: Hanoch, Pallu, Hezron, and Carmi.
10The sons of Simeon: Jemuel, Jamin, Ohad, Jachin, Zohar, and Shaul, the son of a Canaanite woman.
11The sons of Levi: Gershon, Kohath, and Merari.
12The sons of Judah: Er, Onan, Shelah, Perez, and Zerah (but Er and Onan died in the land of Canaan); and the sons of Perez were Hezron and Hamul.
13The sons of Issachar: Tola, Puvah, Yob, and Shimron.
14The sons of Zebulun: Sered, Elon, and Jahleel.
15These are the sons of Leah, whom she bore to Jacob in Paddan-aram, together with his daughter Dinah; altogether his sons and his daughters numbered thirty-three.
16The sons of Gad: Ziphion, Haggi, Shuni, Ezbon, Eri, Arodi, and Areli.
17The sons of Asher: Imnah, Ishvah, Ishvi, Beriah, with Serah their sister. And the sons of Beriah: Heber and Malchiel.
18These are the sons of Zilpah, whom Laban gave to Leah his daughter; and these she bore to Jacob—sixteen persons.
19The sons of Rachel, Jacob’s wife: Joseph and Benjamin.
20And to Joseph in the land of Egypt were born Manasseh and Ephraim, whom Asenath, the daughter of Potiphera the priest of On, bore to him.
21And the sons of Benjamin: Bela, Becher, Ashbel, Gera, Naaman, Ehi, Rosh, Muppim, Huppim, and Ard.
22These are the sons of Rachel, who were born to Jacob—fourteen persons in all.
23The son of Dan: Hushim.
24The sons of Naphtali: Jahzeel, Guni, Jezer, and Shillem.
25These are the sons of Bilhah, whom Laban gave to Rachel his daughter, and these she bore to Jacob—seven persons in all.
26All the persons belonging to Jacob who came into Egypt, who were his own descendants, not including Jacob’s sons’ wives, were sixty-six persons in all.
27And the sons of Joseph, who were born to him in Egypt, were two. All the persons of the house of Jacob who came into Egypt were seventy.
28He had sent Judah ahead of him to Joseph to show the way before him in Goshen, and they came into the land of Goshen.
29Then Joseph prepared his chariot and went up to meet Israel his father in Goshen. He presented himself to him and fell on his neck and wept on his neck a good while.
30Israel said to Joseph, “Now let me die, since I have seen your face and know that you are still alive.”
31Joseph said to his brothers and to his father’s household, “I will go up and tell Pharaoh and will say to him, ‘My brothers and my father’s household, who were in the land of Canaan, have come to me.
32And the men are shepherds, for they have been keepers of livestock, and they have brought their flocks and their herds and all that they have.’
33When Pharaoh calls you and says, ‘What is your occupation?’
34you shall say, ‘Your servants have been keepers of livestock from our youth even until now, both we and our fathers,’ in order that you may dwell in the land of Goshen, for every shepherd is an abomination to the Egyptians.”
